Repeat Last Command A/ Don’t preface with AT. Enter usually aborts.
Call negotiation B0 or B
V32 Mode/CCITT Answer Seq.
Call negotiation B1 Bell 212A Answer Seq.
Call negotiation B2
Verbose/Quiet On Answer
Dial D
No Echo E0 or E Will not echo commands to the computer
Echo E1 Will echo commands to the computer (so one can see what
one types)
Hook Status H0 On hook - Hang up
Hook status H1 Off hook - phone picked up
Inquiry, Information, or
Interrogation
I0 or I This command is very model specific. I0 usually returns a
number or code, while higher numbers often provide much
more useful information.
Speaker Loudness.
Modems with volume
control knobs will not have
these options.
L0 or L Off or low volume
Dial the following number and then handshake in originate
mode.
Pulse Dial
Touch Tone Dial
Wait for the second dial tone
Pause for the time held in register S8 (usually 2
seconds)
Remain in command mode after dialing.
Flash switch-hook (Hang up for a half second, as in
transferring a call.
