Parental Controls
Parental controls allow you to dictate what children may or not view. The technology that blocks
the display of programming based upon its rating is called V-Chip. The V-chip reads information
encoded in the rated TV program and blocks programs based on the setting made here in the
Setup menu. Ratings are displayed during the first 15 seconds of a TV show. To enter or adjust
settings, you must use a 4 digital password code. By factory default, the code is “1234”. You may
also block any input source from use.
How to Navigate:
Press the MENU button then the right

arrow button to highlight TV . Use the down

arrow
button to select your preferences
Highlight PARENTAL CONTROL menu.
Press the right

arrow button then enter your
4 digit code (factory default code is “1234” .
For USA: Use the down

arrow button to
highlight TV RATING or MPAA ratings. Press the
right

arrow button to enter the desired ratings
menu. Navigate to allow all, block all, select
based on the following. Press Exit when finished.
For Canada: Use the down

arrow button to
highlight ENGLISH or FRENCH ratings. Press the
right
u
arrow button to enter the desired ratings
menu. Navigate to allow all, block all, select
based on the following. Press Exit when finished.
Navigate to turn on the Lock System and
Country (USA or Canada). Press the
right

arrow button to enter the Parental
Control menu.
To reset the password, use the down
q
arrow
button to highlight Password . Press the right
u
arrow button to view a screen to enter a
new password. Re-enter the new password
to confirm.
