you set this

. If you prefer to set

the PIO mode manually, make sure that
you know your HDD type.

Primary Slave PIO Mode

If this enhanced IDE parameter is set to

Auto

, it automatically

detects the PIO mode (mode 0, 1, 2, 3, 4) and sets the interface

timing of the slave drive connected to the primary IDE connector. If

you know your HDD PIO mode, you can set this parameter manually.

The default setting is

Auto

Secondary Master PIO Mode

If this enhanced IDE parameter is set to

Auto

, it automatically

detects the PIO mode (mode 0, 1, 2, 3, 4) and sets the interface

timing of the master drive connected to the secondary IDE connector.

If you know your HDD PIO mode, you can set this parameter
