Daily Cleaning

  1.  Turn the Rocker Switch (power On/Off) to OFF 

(Figure 5).  The red light on the switch will turn 

off.

  2.  The fans will continue to run with the display 

reading 

Cleaning Mode

.  The Cleaning Mode  

will continue for 45 minutes and completely shut 

the unit down automatically when complete.

  3.  Using Heat Resistant Gloves, r

emove the following 

items from the unit (refer to Figure 1):

 

•  Bun Buffer 

•  Top Bun Feeder 

•  Breakfast Feeder 

•  Release Sheet and Retainer 

•  Crumb Tray

  4.  Wash the items listed above in hot, soapy water, 

rinse in clean water, and allow to air dry. Then 

wipe these parts with a clean cloth dampened 

with Sanitizer and allow to air dry.

  6.  Remove the Release Sheet from the Release 

Sheet Retainer (Figure 1).  Lay the Release 

Sheet on a clean, flat, dry surface. Spray

All-Purpose Super Concentrate (APSC II) 

(HCS)

 on a clean, dry towel. Wipe the towel 

firmly across the Release Sheet lengthwise over 

its entire surface. Immediately, repeat this pro-

cedure with a clean, dry towel dampened with 

KAYQUAT™ Sanitizer (HCS)

 solution and allow 

the Release Sheet to air dry.  Turn the Release 

Sheet over and repeat this cleaning procedure on 

its other side.

  7.  Turn the two Back Panel Release Latches so 

they are in the vertical position and open the 

Back Panel (Figure 15).

  8..  Apply McD© All-Purpose Super Concentrate 

(APSC II) (HCS) on a green non-scratch pad and 

clean the metal Conveyor Belt for two complete 

revolutions (use the holes in the master links as a 

reference). 

  9.  Rinse/wipe the Conveyor Belt with KAYQUAT™ 

Sanitizer (HCS) solution and allow to air dry. 

MAINTENANCE

WARNING

The unit will remain hot to the touch while it is 

cooling down. Personal injury and burns may 

result from touching the unit before it is finished 

cooling down.

NOTE: If the Conveyor Belt appears yellow/brown, 

repeat Steps 8 and 9 until the build up is removed. 

The belt should be silver/metallic when cleaned 

properly. 
NOTE: If necessary, press and hold both Muffin/

Bagel buttons on the back of the unit (Figure 5) to 

advance the belt for exposing uncleaned belt.

 10.  Wipe the entire exterior surface to the toaster with 

a clean, dry towel, dampened with 

KAYQUAT™ 

Sanitizer (HCS) 

and allow it to air dry.

NOTE: Be sure to wipe the bun drop area clean as 

well!

  11.  Insert the Release Sheet Retainer into the top of 

the Release Sheet.  

 12.  Hang the Release Sheet Retainer and Release 

Sheet onto the top of the unit.  The Release 

Sheet must be inserted between the Platen and 

the two Side Brackets of the unit so it will not be 

pinched by the Platen Conveyor (Figure 1).

 13.  Reassemble all accessories onto the unit accord-

ing to Figure 1.

NOTE:  Check the Release Sheet to make sure that 

it is draped properly over the Platen Grill.  

  9.  Verify that the Bun Thickness Compression 

Controls are set to either 4 or 5.

 10.  Close the Back Panel and lock the Back Panel 

Release Latches.

NOTE: Refer to the cleaning label located on the 

back of the unit.
