5.9.1 QoS Classification

Value Description
Queue Scheduling
Users can set it as “Weighted” or “Strict”.
Weighted Mode: An 8, 4, 2, 1 weighting is applied to
each round robin priority queue.
Strict Mode: It gives egress queues with higher priority to
be transmitted first before lower priority queues are
serviced. ”
Trust mode
User can select the trust mode with either DSCP or
Cos.
When
DSCP
is
selected,
only
trusted
DSCP
(Differentiated Services Code Point) values are mapped to
a specific QoS class and drop precedence level (DPL).
Frames with untrusted DSCP values are treated as non-IP
frames.
CoS: (Class Of Service) is well known as 802.1p. It
describes that the output priority of a packet is determined
by user priority field in 802.1Q VLAN tag. The priority
value is supported 0to7COS value map to 4 priority
queues: Highest, SecHigh, SecLow, and Lowest.
