WANGUARD 5.2 User Manual & Administrator's Guide
Status
If the actve Flow Sensor is functoning properly then a green “checked” icon is displayed. If
Console cannot manage or reach the Flow Sensor then a red “X” icon is displayed. In this case
make sure that Snifng Sensor is confgured correctly, make sure that the WANsupervisor
daemon is running and look for errors in the Events – see page 58.
Sensor Name
Displays the name of the Flow Sensor. Click it to open a new tab with data specifc to the
Sensor. Administrators and Operators can right-click it to open the Sensor's confguraton.
Interface
The interface name and a colored box with the confgured Graph Color.
If the interface names are missing afer more than 2 minutes afer the Sensor started, please
check that the fow exporter's clock is synchronized with the server.
IPs
The number of IP addresses that sent or received trafc through the interface. Only your
network's IP addresses are counted.
Pkts/s ( In / Out )
The inbound and outbound packets/second throughput afer validaton.
Inbound Bits/s
The inbound bits/second throughput afer validaton, and inbound usage percent.
Outbound Bits/s
The outbound bits/second throughput afer validaton, and outbound usage percent.
Flows/s
The rate of fows per second received by the Flow Sensor.
Flows Delay
Because trafc data must be aggregated frst, fow devices export fows with a confgured
delay. Some devices export fows much later than the confgured delays, and this feld contains
the maximum fows delay detected by the Flow Sensor.
Flow Sensor cannot run with delays over
5 minutes. To minimize the RAM usage and the
performance of the Flow Sensor process, the fows must be exported as soon as possible.
Dropped
The number of unaccounted fows. If the number is high it indicates a performance problem
on the Sensor or a network connectvity issue with the fow exporter.
Load
The load of the operatng system for the last 5 minutes.
CPU%
The CPU percent used by the Flow Sensor process.
RAM
The amount of memory used by the Flow Sensor process.
Started
The date when the Flow Sensor started.
Active Filters
The Actve Filters table is not displayed if there are no Filters running. The table has the following format:
