Active Virtual Sensors
The Virtual Sensors table has the same felds as the Snifng Sensors table explained below. The table is not
displayed if there are no Virtual Sensors running.
Active Sniffing Sensors
The Actve Snifng Sensors table is not displayed if there are no Snifng Sensors running. The table has the
following format:
Status
If the actve Snifng Sensor is functoning properly then a green “checked” icon is displayed. If
Console cannot manage or reach the Snifng Sensor then a red “X” icon is displayed. In this
case make sure that Snifng Sensor is confgured correctly, make sure that the WANsupervisor
daemon is running and look for errors in the Events – see page 58.
Sensor Name Displays the name of the Snifng Sensor and a colored box with the Graph Color as defned in
its confguraton. Click it to open a new tab with data specifc to the Sensor. Administrators and
Operators can right-click it to open the Sensor's confguraton.
IPs The number of IP addresses that sent or received trafc. Only your network's IP addresses are
counted.
Pkts/s ( In / Out ) The inbound and outbound packets/second throughput afer validaton.
Inbound Bits/s The inbound bits/second throughput afer validaton, and inbound usage percent.
Outbound Bits/s The outbound bits/second throughput afer validaton, and outbound usage percent.
Received Pkts/s The rate of snifed packets before validaton.
Dropped The rate of packets dropped in the capturing process. When the number is high, it indicates a
snifng performance problem.
Load The load of the operatng system for the last 5 minutes.
CPU%
The CPU percent used by the Snifng Sensor process.
RAM The amount of memory used by the Snifng Sensor process.
Started The date when the Snifng Sensor started.
Active Flow Sensors
The Actve Flow Sensors table is not displayed if there are no Flow Sensors running. The table has the
following format:
