All sharp edges on the shaft should be filed or sanded to a radius like this or even slightly more tapered. This
will help you slide the shaft back into the switch. It is a few minutes job to fix this now, and it save headaches
later.

voltage blocking capacitors from the RF choke at the capacitor end that solders to the tank circuit above the
