IDE LBA Mode

Use this option to enable IDE LBA (Logical
Block Addressing) mode. Older hard disk drives
use the CHS (Cylinder-Head-Sector) addressing
scheme that limits hard disk drives to 528 MB.
LBA permits drives capacities up to 5 GB.

Setting Description

Disabled

Do not enable IDE LBA mode

(Default).

Master

Enable IDE LBA mode for the master

IDE

drive attached to the primary IDE
controller.

Slave

Enable IDE LBA mode for the slave

IDE

drive attached to the primary IDE
controller.
