Resetting the ADVENTURER2
If the ADVENTURER2 experiences a power surge or electric shock, it is possible that the internal
micro-controller may lock up and the ADVENTURER2 will not respond to any commands from the
panel controls. In this event, use a straightened paper clip, toothpick or similar objects to press the
RESET button located on the
back of the ADVENTURER2 (see the below figure). The reset operation clears the system memory to
factory default, and all of your previous settings will be erased.
CAUTION:
Do not use a sharp or pointed object to press the reset button. It may damage the reset
switch inside the ADVENTURER2.

Care and Maintenance
9.1
Battery Maintenance
To maintain the battery:
Periodically charge the battery to extend battery life
Do not leave the radio plugged into the charger indefinitely
Switch off power after radio use to extend battery life
Remove the battery or reinsert the plastic battery pull tab for extended storage
Remove the AAA batteries for extended storage to prevent battery leakage
Remove, inspect and clean the radio battery contacts every few months with a cloth. Inspect
the battery for corrosion or leakage.
