Safety instructions
• Protect from moisture: Never subject this product to moisture or extreme
temperatures. Do not expose it to dripping or splashing water. Do not use the
product near water (bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, swimming
pool) or in a damp basement.
•
Never reach to retrieve an electrical device if it has fallen into the wok. In such a
case, immediately disconnect the power plug.
• Protect the power cord: Do not kink, bend, squash or damage the cord of the
power adaptor and protect it from sharp edges and heat. Ensure nothing is
placed upon or against the cord. It is always best to have a clear area from
where the cord exits the unit to where it is plugged into a wall outlet. Run the
cord in such a way that there will be no risk of anyone pulling it inadvertently,
tripping over it or stepping on it.
• Damaged cord: If the electric cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified agent.
• Disconnect: To prevent damage to the product due to lightning strikes and power-
line surges, switch the product off and unplug it from the wall outlet during light-
ning storms and when the product is not going to be used for an extended period of
time. Grip the plug when disconnecting, do not pull the cord. Never reach to retrieve
an electrical device if it has fallen into the wok. In such a case, immediately discon-
nect the power plug.
• Polarized Plug: This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than
the other).
• Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
• DO NOT force the plug into the outlet.
• Always attach the breakaway cord to appliance first,
then plug into wall outlet.
• To disconnect, turn the thermostat to the ‘OFF’ position,
then remove plug from wall outlet.
• To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended
to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does
not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a quali-
fied electrician.
