Designated use:
• Kaya is intended only for use with Leo, Hippo, Carrello Baby, Door Clamp, Jumbino, Woopy or Sunny!
• These ar ticles must not be used as playing or spor t equipment.
• These ar ticles are exclusively suitable for home and private use.
• Can bear up to 15 kg and/or can be used for a child between 0 - 9 months.
• Strictly observe the safety notes mentioned below!
Assembling or attaching:
• The ar ticles are to be assembled exclusively by adults according to the assembly instructions.
• The suspension points to which the model Kaya is attached as well as all components to be used (chains, eyes, hooks,
ropes, etc.) must have a permanent bearing capacity of at least 100 kg.
• Connect the carabiners with the stand as described in the assembly instructions.
• The fastening points must not have sharp edges.
• The fastening points and locations of the stands must be selected so that no sharp or pointed edges are neither below
the lying or sitting surface nor within a radius of 1,0 metres around the hanging chair/hammock.
• The ar ticles must not be used near open fires.
• The lying or sitting height should not be above 400 mm! Please also read the Chapter “Safety notes”.
• The attachment of the hanging chair/hammock to the fastening components must only be carried out by an adult
person and according to the instructions for use.
A. Fastening to door frames:
• The space between the edge of the door frame and the wall must be at least 2 c m (1 inch) thick, which means that at
least 2 c m (1 inch) of the door edge must be free for the clamp.
• Secure the doors so that they do not slam shut!
• Make sure that the clamp holds firmly before you place your child in the AMAZONAS hammock!
• Please place the suspension cords of the hammock directly in the Door Clamp (without additional use of the carabiner
hook), to ensure that metal does not rub against metal.
B. Alternative fastening (stand, wall and ceiling hook):
• The hooks must be placed in the load-bearing material, not just in the plaster.
• The Jumbino ceiling hook is suitable only for use in solid brickwork or concrete ceilings. With other ceiling structures, the
correct fixing device must be selected by a professional fitter.
• If the hammock is hung between two points, it should not be tightly stretched, rather it must sag.
• The right hanging cords for the baby hammock stands Carrello Baby, Hippo, Leo (as delivered) and/or the Door Clamp
and Jumbino ceiling hook are included. Please only use the hanging cords provided.
• When changing the lengths of the cords, please use only the knots recommended by the manufacturer (see separate
diagrams).
• Combined with our elegant AMAZONAS baby hammock stands the Kaya baby hammock becomes an
alternative cradle in the child’s room.
• Please hang the hanging cords of the hammock directly onto the appropriate attachment so that you don’t have metal
rubbing on metal.
Utilisation/Use:
• BEFORE using the Kaya for the first time with your baby, please read the instructions how to place the baby in the Kaya
carefully.
• Familiarise yourself with the use of the ar ticles, in par ticular with the placing of your baby in the Kaya, perhaps with the
help of a doll.
• Never place your baby/child with too much momentum off-centre in the Kaya. Always place it carefully and without
momentum in the centre of the hammock or hanging chair.
• Place your baby in the Kaya according to the enclosed pictures. Press your baby firmly with one arm either on your side
or to your hip. With the other arm you hold the hanging chair steady. Place the baby in the hanging chair when you are
sure that the baby's head is as close as possible to the top end of the mattress.
• Always use the sewed-in safety pants to secure your child!
