Pre-drying
Temperatures and durations
After staining with Ceramill Liquid, Ceramill ZI and Ceramill ZOLID
must be pre-dried:
Ceramill ZOLID requires longer pre-drying, because
_
the blanks, in comparison to Ceramill ZI, have a higher compressed
density (enlargement factor ZOLID: ~7, ZI: ~4) and thus dry slower,
_
fully anatomical work is generally larger and more massive than
frames,
_
the material is more delicate than Ceramill ZI and does not remit
residual moisture. In case of residual moisture and temperatures
above 100
°C
, the high vapour pressure can lead to cracks.
NOTE:
Possible damage of the frames through stress cracks during sinter-
ing.
