CALIBRATION OF TI-PREFORMS BLANK HOLDER

When
Start jobs after transfer was not selected:
▷
Start job manually at the hybrid milling
machine.
The surface of the calibration sleeve is now face
milled.
2.4.5 Mounting the blank holder for rotational
milling
▷
Carefully mount the blank holder onto the cali-
bration sleeve of the tool holder and firmly
screw together with the two provided screws
using a size 3 Allen key.

2.4.6 Completing the calibration process
To complete the calibration process:
▷
Clamp the screwed together blank holder for
rotational milling into the machine.
▪
Check the connection mandrel of the blank
holder for rotational milling and clean if
required.
▪
Insert blank holder for rotational milling via
the mandrel to the stop in the locating bore.
▪
Tighten the fastening screw with the torque
wrench.
The calibration process takes approx.
20 minutes.
NOTE:
When assembling, the anti-rotation bolt in the
blank holder must be in the provided groove in
the calibration sleeve.

Avoid jamming/wedging!
After screwing the blank holder and the
tool holder together, a small gap will
remain, which is negligible.
The blank holder for rotational milling can
only be used for this machine.
▷
Make an appropriate mark on the blank
holder.
