Fork Operation
Read the following before operating your
RMH1000M.
The in and out movement of the forks is
operated with the two hydraulic hoses that are
connected to the P1 and P2 ports on the
hydraulic block.
Fork Balance
The RMH1000M’s forks are balanced to keep
the bale centered when closed. However, as
they open unevenly, they are not balanced
when in a partially open position. It is
important that the forks are fully open when
you pick up a bale so that the bale is as stable
as possible.
However, note that it is not necessary to fully
close the forks to transport a bale (doing so
may damage the wrapping). Close the forks
only enough to securely support the bale.
Side Shift Movement
Side shift movement is controlled by the two
hoses connected to the SSL and SSR ports on
the hydraulic block. Working the designated
remote will shift the forks in unison to either
the left or right. Please note, if the forks are
closed in all the way, no side shift movement
is available.
Optional Shock Absorber
An optional accumulator can be installed in
line with the tilt cylinder hydraulics. When the
tilt cylinders are slightly extended, this
accumulator allows the tilt cylinders to serve
as shock absorbers, thereby minimizing the
shock load on the tractor and hitches when the
RMH1000M is moved through a field.
When transporting a bale, be sure to extend
the tilt cylinders 1 to 2” to use as shock
absorbers.
