3 Install the new processor.
(1) Remove the processor from its packaging and insert in the
socket as shown. Make sure the gold-colored triangle indicating
pin 1 on the processor aligns with the triangle on the socket
before you lower processor straight down without tilting or
sliding it in the socket.
(2) Close the load plate.
