Two Head Probe Take Off Point Adjustment
Notice
: There are two purposes here, one is to align the timing screw with the test probes for proper sealing, and
the second is to adjust the Container At Test photo eye into the encoder window or 1500 to 2000.
For two head probe and Container At Test photo eye adjustment please follow the procedure below:
Notice:
if the test probes do not
engage recheck the Container At
Test. The indicator must turn ON
between encoder counts 1500 and
1. Engage Emergency Stop
2. Go to Probe Take Off Display
3. Open access door and advance timing screw by hand
until current encoder position reads 1500. The window
should turn ON GREEN.
4. Place a container in the timing screw pocket near the
Container At Test photo eye.
5. By hand advance the timing screw to 1600. The
Container At Test indication should start to come ON
GREEN as you advance the timing screw.
6. If the Container at Test does not turn ON GREEN adjust
the photo eye towards the leading edge of the container
until the indicator turns ON.
7. Run the machine in manual mode and allow some
containers to pass through the timing screw. Notice
both the rotation direction of the timing screw, and
where the test probes are engaging in relationship to
the containers.
A. If situation (A) exists the timing screw is late. To
correct move the timing screw backwards opposite
the flow direction.
B. If situation (B) exists the timing screw is early. To
correct move the timing screw forward with the flow.
C. If situation (C) exists the timing screw and test
probes are aligned. No adjustment is necessary.
