Chapter 6: Deploying the SG-9100

Allot SG-9100 Hardware Guide

6-6

Initial Configuration

Accessing the SG-9100 via Physical Ports

An external monitor may be connected to the SG-9100 via the MONITOR port on the
rear of the appliance.

Accessing the SG-9100 via the TSM

The ThinkServer System Manager (TSM) is provided with every SG-9100 appliance
that is shipped from Allot.

The module enables an administrator to connect remotely to the SG-9100 as if
connecting locally via a console connection.

NOTE

Since the SG-9100 has only 2 USB ports on the read of the
server, these ports are designated for bypass unit connectivity
only. They cannot be used for anything else (such as
keyboard/mouse), even if there is no bypass unit being
connected to any of the ports. This means that the initial IP
configurations will have to be done using the TSM. After that
everything can be done using SSH.

Configuring TSM Network Settings

The default details of the TSM are as follows:

Default User Name:

lenovo

Default Password:

len0vO (where the first 0 is not “o” but “zero” and the

last O is a capital letter.)

To configure the network settings of the TSM, follow the steps below:
