Loosen the drum capscrews, then remove capscrews
with thimbles, leaving two located 180° apart.

Remove drum shaft locknuts.

Remove bearing retainer and shim pack.

NOTE: Tag shim pack for reference during reassembly.

Remove retainer plate by removing retainer
capscrews and washers.
