Installation must conform with local codes or in the absence of local codes with:

In the U.S.A., installation must conform to the latest edition of the American National Standard Z223.1/
NFPA 54 “National Fuel Gas Code” and Standard ANSI/NFPA 70 “National Electric Code.”

In Canada, installation must comply with Standards CAN/CSA-B149.1 or Natural Gas and Propane Code 
CSA C22.1, latest edition, Canadian Electric Code, Part I.

In Australia, installation must comply with the Australian Gas Association Installation Code for Gas 
Burning Appliances and Equipment. 

IMPORTANT: Information must be obtained from a local gas supplier on instructions to be followed if the 
user smells gas. These instructions must be posted in a prominent location. Step-by-step instructions of the 
above safety information must be posted in a prominent location near the tumbler for customer use. 

FOR YOUR SAFETY, the information in this 
manual must be followed to minimize the 
risk of fire or explosion or to prevent 
property damage, personal injury or death.

– Do not try to light any appliance.

a neighbor’s phone. Follow the gas 
supplier’s instructions.

– If you cannot reach your gas supplier, 

call the fire department.
