Communicate Between SLC Controllers over DH+ and DH485 Networks

Create the Routing Table in RSLinx Software

These are the routing tables needed for the example configuration.

In this example, the:

•

SLC 5/03 controller is connected
to Channel A of the 1756-DH485
module. The 1756-DH485 node
address on the DH-485 network
is node 0.

•

1756-DHRIO and the
1756-DH485 modules are on the
same backplane.

•

1756-DH485 module is in slot 14.

•

1756-DHRIO module is in slot 8.

•

Link ID of Channel B of the
1756-DHRIO is Link 20.

•

SLC 5/04 controller is connected
to Channel B of the
1756-DHRIO.

•

node address of the SLC 5/04
controller on DH+ is 10 octal or
8 decimal.

•

SLC 5/03 controller initiates a
remote message to the SLC 5/04
controller.
