USB Cable

Configure the USB Driver

To configure RSLinx software to use a USB port, you need to configure a USB
driver.

To configure a USB driver, perform this procedure.

1.

Connect the linking device and your workstation by using a USB cable.

The Found New Hardware Wizard appears.

2.

Click any of the Windows Update connections options and click Next.

3.

Click Install the software automatically (Recommended) and click Next.

The software is installed.

TIP

If the software for the USB driver is not found and the installation is
cancelled, verify that you have installed RSLinx Classic software,
version 2.57 or later.
