3.
After several seconds the waveform will lock in place. This will be accompanied with an audible
“beep”.
4.
The waveform should be symmetrical and repeating, with generally rounded peaks on the top of
the wave forms. (Note: If the results are unclear repeat the test at a slower speed until 2 or 3
peaks are displayed.)
5.
Non-repeating or flat peaks on the waveform indicate a rotor issue.

Changing the Motor Test Frequency
The default testing frequency for the ALL-TEST
PRO®
31 is set at 200 Hz. This test frequency should
be good for the majority of winding tests. However, there are a few instances where a different
frequency may be required. The ALL-TEST
PRO®
31 allows the user to select a test frequency of (25,
30, 50, 60, 100, 200, 400, or 800 Hz). The test frequency selected is not dependent on the frequency of
the applied voltage to the winding. It is more dependent on the instrument making a valid measurement.
Note:
Increasing the test frequency will increase the impedance measurement
Reducing the test frequency will decrease the impedance measurement.
