Assembly and Adjusting
WARNING:
Danger of kickback! Apply the machine to the
workpiece only when switched on.
1. Dust extraction port (See Fig. A1)
This planer is equipped with two dust extraction ports (4), which may be
used with a dust bag (6) or a vacuum adapter (not supplied) to keep your
work environment cleaner.
- Fitting a dust bag (See Fig. A2)
Attach the dust bag (6) to the dust extraction port (4) for smaller jobs.
First select left or right dust extraction port (4) (Refer to Dust extraction
guide switch section), then align and slide the dust bag (6) into the dust
extraction port (4).
- Emptying the dust bag (See Fig. A3)
Empty the dust bag (6) by unzipping the bag and then gently tap the bag
to remove the dust.
NOTE:
Wear a suitable dust mask, as there may be some residual airborne
dust particles.
- External dust extraction
The dust extraction port (4) which can be connected to the vacuum
adapter (not supplied), is best connected to a suitable external dust
extraction machine, such as a workshop dust-extraction system or a
household vacuum cleaner, for the efficient removal of dust and shavings.
