The BP1 electronic air cleaner may snap or arc electrically upon initial installation. This is due to a build-up of
humidity within the air cleaner. This condition will subside after several hours of operation. The BP1
electronic air cleaner has been engineered to operate quietly. There may be an occasional snap or arc. This is
normal and will not interfere with the effective operation of the air cleaner.
In order to ensure effective performance for the BP1 electronic air cleaner periodic replacement of the special
media pads inside is required.
The original BP1 media pads are a unique, multi-layered, proprietary material.
The BP1 replacement media pads are available in a convenient one or two year pack.
The BP1 electronic air cleaner will not operate properly if alternative materials are used. It is Recommended
that the pads be replaced every three to four months.
To replace the media pads disconnect the power cord at the top of the air cleaner and remove the electronic
air cleaner from the filter rack. Pull the latches up on the side of the air cleaner. Open the air cleaner on a flat
surface and discard the two dirty media pads. Then take two new media pads from the original BP1 media
pack and install them. Close the air cleaner, re-seat the latches and re-install. Be sure to reconnect the power
cord.
The limited warranty covers any defect in materials or workmanship for a period of five years. The warranty
period commences on the purchase date of the product. The warranty does not cover any damage from
misuse, neglect or abuse. To make a warranty claim contact the original installing contractor or Alberta
Indoor Clean Air directly with a copy of an original sales receipt or other evidence of the date of purchase.
