WIRING
See the Installation Manual for detailed illustrations and
additional information.
External Power:
Red / Black wires - External 12-24 Volts AC or DC
Power Source.
Remote Input:
White / White wires - Wire a Normally Open Contact
to wires (white and white). Momentarily close to allow
device to unlock the door and allow entry.
NOTE:
Remote Input is enabled from the factory.
(See
page 25)
Main/Entry Relay:
The
Main Relay
(also called the
Entry Relay
) is, for
example, used to operate a door strike to allow ac-
cess through a door.
COM-Purple / NO-Gray / NC-Blue - See page 26
(Function 67) for programming options for this relay.
Auxiliary Relay:
The
Auxiliary Relay
is an additional relay used to con-
trol cameras, lights, an audible sounder, etc.
COM-Black / NO-Pink / NC-White - See page 26
(Function 67) for programming options for this relay.
Transient Protection:
Magnetic strikes and magnetic locks can produce
harmful switching transients. To ensure the DK3000
is protected, two transient protection devices are sup-
plied. These protection devices should be wired as
close to the magnetic strike or magnetic lock as pos-
sible (if wiring close to the magnetic strike or lock is
not possible, the protection devices can be wired at
the DK3000 lock).
Note:
Although some magnetic
strikes and magnetic locks do possess transient pro-
tection, our supplied protection devices should always
be used. See wiring diagrams on pages 12-13.

POWER UP
•
When applying power to the lock for the first time
