AIR FLOW ADJUSTMENT
Combustion air is taken into the burner through air
suction cell. Air flow amount is adjusted by an air
damper placed in this cell. The damper is run by
damper motor (See Figure on the right). 0 value on the
indicator means the damper is fully closed, 9 value
means fully opened. Air damper motor adjustment is
told in an other section of this manual.
Decrease the air flow to minimum value for
the first running of the burner. Make the
adjustments of the air damper following the
combustion start.Air flow adjustment is
made with the damper motor shafts for
modulating burners. Check if the burner
start is OK after completing the air flow
adjustments.
The correct position of the air damper for
the desired burner capacity can be found
using the graphs given on this page.
These graphs are derived in laboratory
conditions and are for avarage values. The
positioning values may vary according to
different boiler conditions. Therefore the
final adjustment must be done by the
evaluation of the flue gas emissions on
site.
Proper emissions are given as follows;
CO < 93 ppm
