Air fi lter
Caution!
Never operate the device without an air fi lter. Clean the
air fi lter regularly. Replace damaged air fi lter.
Remove star screw, take off cover and take out air

Allow air fi lter to dry.

Install air fi lter in reverse sequence.

Fuel Filter
Caution!

motor damage can result.
Take tank cap completely off.

Empty remaining fuel into a suitable container.

Pull out fi lter from tank with a wire hook.
3.
Pull out fi lter with a twisting movement.

Replace fi lter.

Mowing with the cutting blade
When mowing with the cutting blade, the cutting blade is
directed in a horizontal, arched movement from one side
to the other.
Caution!
Before using the cutting blade, additionally observe:
Use carrying strap
Examine cutter blade for correct assembly
Wear protective clothing and eye protection
Do not use weed cutter blades for cutting thickets
and young trees!
Avoiding Throwback
Caution!
Do not use cutting blade in the vicinity of fi xed obstacles
- throwback danger/injury danger!
Jamming
Dense vegetation, young trees or thickets can block the
cutter blade and bring it to a halt.
Avoid blockage by noting in which direction the thicket
leans, and then to cut from the oppositely leaning side.
If the cutter blade becomes entangled while cutting
Shut off motor immediately
Hold up the device so that the cutter blade does
not jump or break
Jostle away trapped material from the cuttings
