Maintenance and care
Air fi lter
Caution!
Never operate the device without an air fi lter. Clean the
air fi lter regularly. Replace damaged air fi lter.
Remove star screw, take off cover and take out air 1.
fi lter.
Clean air fi lter with soap and water. Do not use 2.
gasoline!
Allow air fi lter to dry. 3.
Install air fi lter in reverse sequence. 4.
Fuel Filter
Caution!
Never operate the device without an air fi lter. Severe
motor damage can result.
Take tank cap completely off. 1.
Empty remaining fuel into a suitable container. 2.
Pull out fi lter from tank with a wire hook. 3.
Pull out fi lter with a twisting movement. 4.
Replace fi lter. 5.
Trimming along Fences and Foundations
Caution!
Do not touch solid construction - Recoil danger!
Direct the device slowly and carefully, without allowing 1.
the string to impact obstacles.
Trimming and Treetrunks
Direct the device slowly and carefully around 1.
treetrunks, so that the cutting string does not touch
the tree bark.
Mow from left to right around treetrunks. 2.
Connect to grass and weeds with the point of the 3.
string and nudge the string head lightly forward.
Trimming along stone walls, foundations and trees
leads to increased string waste.
Mowing
Nudge string head at a 30 degree angle to the right. 1.
Place the handgrip in the desired position. 2.
Caution!
Remove foreign objects in the working area.
Injury danger/property damage from propelled foreign
objects.
Mowing with the cutting blade
When mowing with the cutting blade, the cutting blade is
directed in a horizontal, arched movement from one side
to the other.
Caution!
Before using the cutting blade, additionally observe:
Use carrying strap

Examine cutter blade for correct assembly „
Wear protective clothing and eye protection

Do not use weed cutter blades for cutting thickets
and young trees!
Avoiding Throwback
Caution!
Do not use cutting blade in the vicinity of fi xed obstacles
- throwback danger/injury danger!
Jamming
Dense vegetation, young trees or thickets can block the
cutter blade and bring it to a halt.
Avoid blockage by noting in which direction the thicket „
leans, and then to cut from the oppositely leaning side.
If the cutter blade becomes entangled while cutting
