CAUTION
Use food grade CO
2
(carbon dioxide) cylinders only.
7. CONNECTING AND REPLACING THE C0
2
CYLINDER. ADJUSTING THE AMOUNT OF CO
2
The C0
2
cylinder must be replaced when the supply of sparkling water decreases significantly or when
carbonation decreases significantly.
Remove the drip tray.
Remove the front panel from the front. Tilt the cylinder as
shown in the figure and remove it from its position.
Close the regulator knob, turning it anti-clockwise.
Unscrew the cylinder from the regulator.
Remove the gasket of the pressure-regulator with the aid
of a pointed tool and replace it with the new one supplied
with the cylinder.
Tighten the new cylinder to the regulator using your hands
only.
Open the adjustment knob, turning it in a clockwise
direction. Put it back in position, first the base and then
the top part, securing it with the special C-shaped ring
in the holder.
To adjuste the carbonation, turn the knob on the regulator.
Turning it in a clockwise direction increases the
carbonation,
while turning it in anti-clockwise direction decrease it.
When unscrewing the used cylinder and while tightening the new one, gas can be heard escaping from
the cylinder for a moment: this behaviour is completely normal.
The appliance is normally equipped with a C0
2
cylinder which cannot be refilled.
For more detailed information about the collection systems available, contact your local waste disposal
service or the shop where the product was purchased.
For information about refillable C0
2
cylinders, contact your installer.
NOTE
NOTE
7.1 Installing the external cylinder (optional)
If the appliance is configured in a special way, it is possible to connect an external
C02 cylinder. In this case, remove the cylinder in the front compartment, disconnect
the tube from the pressure reducer and attach it to the “external C02” fitting in the
same compartment. Connect the external cylinder to a pressure reducer that can be set to a maximum
pressure of 4.5 bar. Then connect the external C02 cylinder to the
fitting on the back, using a tube with a diameter of 4 mm.
CAUTION
CAUTION
Replace the gasket of the pressure-regulator whenever the CO
2
cylinder is substituted.
