AKE Bluetooth EXTENSION SET (Bluetooth to helmet) for Harley E-Glide
Kompatible to Harley Davidson 7-pin audio systems, starting 1998.
Local law may prohibit the use of headphones by the driver of a motorized vehicle. Always follow applicable laws and
regulations. The Bluetooth Extension Set allows via headset in the helmet wireless communication with the passenger,
hearing GPS-voice and music from motorbike internal audio system. Scope of delivery: AKE Bluetooth Helmet Connector

The Bluetooth Helmet Connector type Harley comes with 12V power connection, so you don't need to charge the Bluetooth
Helmet Connector. Connect the accordingly marked wire with on-board power, ground connection so far available only
when disturbances occur (dependent from the vehicle). Then connect the AKE Bluetooth Helmet Connector with one of the
helmet plugs (one helmet connector for each helmet).
For optimum operating the different electronic devices have to be synchronized as follows:
Speech intelligibility in driver helmet with optimum setting: More then 100 miles/h - good. Especially in pillion helmet a lower
intelligibility is possible when using a loud helmet type and at high speeds. With the delay from the Bluetooth transmission the
voice sound reverberates a little bit but this has no influence on the speech intelligibility.
After powering on the Bluetooth Helmet Connectors all signals for driver as well as for pillion are transmitted in Duplex mode
to the helmet. Switching Duplex / Stereo possible by pressing the button at the Bluetooth Helmet Connector. Please note that
for the intercom and for a CB-radio the Duplex connection is needed.
