4. Due to shadowing effects or interferences it is possible that the range is
considerably reduced. Therefore, we do not recommend installing
Bluetooth modules directly under the petrol tank
5. With the use of several Bluetooth modules we recommend to assem-
ble them separate from each other. At close ranges (less than approx.
50 cm) Bluetooth devices might interfere with each other (click noise)
Installation on the vehicle
Connect the power supply to the active on board power system
(clamp 30, light- or accessory power) or via a 12 V switch, this is
best done by an expert. Not required with AKE PowerCom.
Plug-in Version:
Plug into the jack for the helmet connection of
the bike and ready to use.
Build-in Version:
Should be
assembled by a specialist. Assembly
leads are found on our website.
We recommend testing the combina-
tion before installation, for lack of gua-
rantee that all Bluetooth devices are
compatible.
Pairing of the Bluetooth devices
If the devices are already paired, you can ignore this chapter.
The new Bluetooth Helmet Connector will automatically go into pairing
mode when switching on. This can be seen at the alternately flashing of the
control LEDs.
Hold your Bluetooth helmet or helmet set close to the
AKE
Bluetooth
Helmet Connector and make sure that no other Bluetooth device in the
area is ready for pairing. Now promptly get your Bluetooth helmet or your
Bluetooth Helmet Set also into pairing mode for Bluetooth devices, e.g. cell
phone (ATTENTION: Do not use the Intercom pairing and do not try to pair
the Bluetooth helmet with the Harley Boom!™ Box). After a successful
pairing you will hear a short confirmation signal in the paired helmet and
the LEDs stop flashing alternately.
Deleting old pairings
We recommend to generally delete old pairings!
Bring the respective
If the LEDs flash, the BT-HC2
is in operation. In metal covers, we re-
commend plug-in version so that the radio signals are not shielded.
