9. FM Tracking Adjustment
Requirement:
•
Test point: J203 (SP OUT (LCH,RCH))
•
Adjustment point: L901,L902,L904,L905
1) Set S.S.G. to FM, carrier of 108MHz with 75kHz modulation, source at 1kHz and output at MAX.
2) Tune the unit to the receiving frequency at FM 108MHz.
3) While monitoring the waveform at 1kHz through the oscilloscope, lower the output level of S.S.G. maximum.
4) Adjust the adjustment points according to the following sequence for two to three times so that the AC millivoltmeter indicates
maximum.

10. FM Separation Check
Requirement:
•
Test point: J203 (SP OUT (LCH,RCH))
1) Set S.S.G. to FM, carrier of 98MHz with 67.5kHz modulation, source at 1kHz and output at 60dBuv.
2) Switch S.S.G to PILOT ON and set to PILOT 7.5kHz.
2) Tune the unit to the receiving frequency at FM 98MHz.
3) Set the output of S.S.G. available only from LCH, and check that the difference between LCH and RCH is 12dB or above while
monitoring the AC millivoltmeter.
5) Apply the above check to RCH.
11. FM Auto-Stop Check
Requirement:
•
Test point: J203 (SP OUT (LCH,RCH))
1) Set S.S.G. to FM, carrier of 108MHz with 75KHz modulation, source at 1KHz, and output at 10 to 35dBuv.
2) Apply the tuning search function, and check that the unit automatically stops at FM 108MHz.

Preparation

Measuring instrument: Wow-flutter meter / Oscilloscope / AC millivoltmeter / Low frequency generator / Attenuator
•
Test tape: TTA-100 / TTA-300 (or TTA-310, 320) / TTA-200 / TTA-602 (or equivalent playback/record test tape)
12. Tape Speed Adjustment (DECK 2)
Requirement
•
Measuring instrument: Wow-flutter meter (frequency counter)
•
Test tape: TTA-100(3kHz)
•
Test point: J201(HP OUT)
•
Adjustment point: SFR1
1) Connect J201(HP OUT) of the unit to the wow-flutter meter.
2) Insert the test tape (TTA-100) to DECK 2. Forward and play back the middle part of the tape,
and adjust SFR1 so that the level is 3,000Hz±5Hz.
13. Tape Speed Check (DECK 1)
Requirement:
•
Measuring instrument: Wow-flutter meter (frequency counter)
•
Test tape: TTA-100(3kHz)
•
Test point: J201(HP OUT)
1) Insert the test tape (TTA-100) to DECK 1. Play back the middle part of the tape, and check that
the speed compared to that of DECK 2 is ranged within 55Hz.
14. Wow-Flutter Check (DECK 1 and DECK 2)
Requirement:
•
Measuring instrument: Wow-flutter meter (frequency counter)
•
Test tape: TTA-100(3kHz)
•
Test point: J201(HP OUT)
1) Connect J201(HP OUT) of the unit to the wow-flutter meter.
2) Set the wow-flutter meter to JIS for INDICATOR and W RMS (WTD) for mode.
