6. Periodic Inspection/Maintenance

6.5.10 Change fuel filter element

[Every 500 hours]

CD Drain the fuel out of the inside of fuel filter, by

Loosening the drain valve " 1 " and air bleeding
plug "2". After drainage is completed, retighten the

drain valve and air bleeding plug surely.

® Remove the element case " 3 " by using a filter

wrench.

@ Place a new element "4" in the element case and

screw it after coating the 0-ring "5" thinly with fuel.

(For part number, see 6.3)

@ After the 0-ring contacts the seal surface, retighten it

by using a filter wrench.

@ Perform air bleeding out of the fuel.

(See 4.9)

• When changing element, replace O-ring at the same

time.

• After installing the element, check and confirm that

there is no fuel leak during operation.

• For the details of replacement of element, refer to the

engine instruction manual.
