IMAGE PRINTER TROUBLE SHOOTING
PAPER OR INK CARTRIDGE
If the PAPER indicator light flashes ON and OFF after the PRINT button has been pressed, see INDICATOR
LIGHTS. If the INK indicator lamp flashes ON and OFF, see INDICATOR LIGHTS.
NOTE:
To see the Error Code connect an S-Video cable from the printer S-Video out to the S-Video input on
the monitor.

POSSIBLE SOLUTION
Open the cartridge door and remove styrofoam.

Open and close the cartridge door. It is not
necessary to remove the cartridge.
The paper will discharge automatically only
when the paper jams.
Printing can proceed when READY is illuminated.
If READY is not illuminated, open and
close the cartridge door again.
Open the cassette door and remove the paper
cassette.
Pull out the jammed paper by hand. Carefully insert
fingers into the paper cassette compartment and pull
the jammed paper through the upper inside opening
and remove it from the discharge slot.
Replace the paper cassette and close the cassette door.
Printing can proceed when READY illuminates.
Open the cartridge door and remove the
cartridge.
If there is slack in the cartridge, press and turn
until the slack is removed. (See Fig.14C) Re-
insert the cartridge and close the cartridge door.
Printing can proceed when READY illuminates.
Open the cartridge cover and remove the
cartridge.
Close the cartridge cover and wait until READY
stops flashing.
When only INK is flashing, reinsert the
cartridge.
Close the cartridge cover.
Printing can proceed when READY illuminates.
Return the printer for factory repair.
CAUTION: Attempting to repair the printer
yourself could result in internal damage.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
The shipping styrofoam has not
been removed.
The cartridge door is not closed
properly.
