8 - Manual setup

Source shape

SMU4000 Series Instruction Manual

Timing

The sweep configuration menu contains no timing control, all single sweep timing is based upon

the settling/ measure delay, measurement period and measurement count. The measure delay

shown in the following diagram shows a user defined measure delay, alternatively an automatic

settling delay can be selected, see ‘

Timing options

’ for more details.

The time it takes to complete one single sweep can be calculated by = (Number of Points x

(Settling Delay + (Measurement Period x Measurement Count))).
