NOTICE
• If you are using the emergency pump,
stopping an operation, or starting the
engine from the lower control panel,
you can operate the machine without
turning the enable switch.
• If you want to use the lower control
panel, make sure to check it during the
pre-start check.
4–2 Boom operation
Use the three control levers for the boom
elevation, telescope and rotation to operate
the boom.
4–2–1 Boom raising and lowering
operation
Depress the foot switch and operate the
boom elevation control lever to raise or lower
the boom.
4–2–2 Boom rotating operation
Depress the foot switch and operate the boom
rotation control lever to rotate the boom.
4–2–3 Boom telescope operation
Depress the foot switch and operate the boom
telescope control lever to extend or retract the
boom.
4–4 Platform rotating operation
Depress the foot switch and operate the
platform rotation switch to rotate the platform.
4–5 Emergency stop
(stop the engine)
CAUTION
• If the boom is to be kept in the
same place for a while, to prevent
misoperation, position the platform,
then push the emergency stop button
before doing your work.
• If the boom descends gradually on its
own even though the emergency stop
button has been pushed, the cylinder
may be descending on its own. Start the
engine or the emergency pump, and
move the lever in the opposite direction
of the boom movement in order to
counteract it. Quickly and fully retract
the boom and stop working.
• If an operation must be stopped because
of a malfunction, stop working and have
the machine checked immediately.

(1) Press down the emergency stop button.
(2) When the emergency stop button has
been pressed down, the engine will stop,
and all operations will be impossible,
except starting the engine and operating
the emergency pump.
(3) To cancel the stop, pull up the emergency
stop button, and start the engine using
the engine start switch.
(4) In case of the following, press down the
emergency stop button.
– In case you need to stop the engine while
you are doing work.
– When the person on the ground judges
that operation from the upper control
panel is unsafe.
