Control Panel Features
6. Remote Operation Selector. This button allows the user to select between using the foot pedal, torch switch, or special torch with separate switch and amp control on
the handle. For Foot Pedal use, or slider control mounted on the torch handle, select
“
Pedal
”.
For torch switch mode, select between 2T and 4T operation. For special
torch with separate switch and amp control select both pedal and 2T, or pedal and 4T. Pressing the remote button several times in succession will eventually highlight
both Pedal and 2T or Pedal and 4T simultaneously. See information found in the next section under:
“
Using the Pedal/ 2t/4T Functions
”.
7. Parameter Selector (Right Arrow Button). The parameter selector button is used to toggle between different parameters such as Pre Flow, Post Flow, Start Amps, End
Amps, Up
-
Slope, Down Slope, AC Frquency and AC Balance. Also when the pulse is turned on with selector #4, it is used to toggle through the pulse frequency, base
amps and pulse time on settings. In AC stick mode this toggles the AC Frequency and AC balance. However, in DC stick mode, this button serves no function.
8. LCD Screen. The screen is a LCD screen with high visibility colors with good contrast so that it can be read and adjusted in bright environments. See next page for
more detail on how to adjust and select the parameters on the screen and what each represents.
9. Adjustment Knob. The Adjustment knob is used to increase and decrease the value of the selected parameter.
NOTICE:
Combine the Control Panel Feature information from the above and previous page and the separate LCD Screen Operation information on the next page to understand
how the each function works. Some information may be repeated or presented in a slightly different way between the two pieces of information in order to fully explain
and establish how the welder operates. Be sure to pay attention to any italics, bold, and repeated information. These are key to understanding how the unit operates
and is controlled.
