PILOT LIGHT & AIR INLET
APERTURE.
The air intake hole on the pilot
are very small and can become
contaminated from the ambient
environment.
o
Dust can be very hard to
see, but even a small
amount can stop the fire
from lighting.
During operation, the Flue
draws air in from outside, any
airborne particles (e.g. dust &
pollen) can also be potentially
drawn in. The rate at which this
occurs depends on a number of
environmental factors.
Cleaning of the pilot is required
at least once a year (in between
services) but is recommended
more regularly.
