10. Once the shims (if used) are in place and the mounting plate is securely fastened
to the front side of the duct, attach the hinged template to the mounting plate as
seen in Figure 15. Make sure the hinged plate is pushed all of the way down
into the hinge and using two serrated flange nuts securely fasten the template to
the mounting plate.
NOTE: Use the following alignment method for both the chute extension
and main chute installation.
11. Attach the second mounting plate to the template flat strap using two more
serrated flange nuts. As shown in Figure 14.
12. Slide the assembly seen in Figure 14 onto the U-shaped strap as seen in Figure
15. The template assembly should be slid on until it mates up with the duct.
See Figure 16 for the final attachment of the template on the chute.
