7. Center punch and drill the hole marks with a 9/32 inch drill bit. Use a rat-tail

file to remove any burrs.

8. On

the

chute extension

attach the brackets using the flange nuts and truss head

bolts provided.

9. For the main chute (1822 and 1844) place one spacer between the bottom

portion of the bracket and the chute and attach bracket with the flange nuts and
truss bolts provided.

NOTE: The flange nuts should be on the outside of the hood so it
doesn't protrude into the flow of the cotton. If bolts are installed
wrong, errors could be caused in yield data from stringers.

NOTE: Shims are used to make the faces of the sensors parallel on
the main chute installation. Since the main chute is tapered, if you
do not use the shims the sensors will not align properly.
