During normal operation, the engine is usually sufficiently cooled during the approach and landing. Make 
sure that all avionics and other instruments are switched off before the engine is shut down.  

Do not rely on only parking brake to hold unattended aircraft. 

5.9.6  Post-flight check

- check cooling circuit, check for liquid leakage

- cover the cockpit with a protective cover if available 

5.10  Short field take-off procedure  

The standard take-off procedure should be followed. The only difference is that the full throttle is applied 
with brakes on. Brakes are released when the maximum RPM is achieved by the engine.
