GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
These outdoor units come in 5 different power ratings, as well
as in cooling-only and heat-pump (H) versions, the latter desi-
gned for both cooling and heating applications.
The unit contains the entire refrigerant charge R410A (inclu-
ding the charge for the cooling line).

COMPONENT DESCRIPTION
- HEAT EXCHANGE COIL
Heat exchange coil with internally copper tube and alumi-
nium circulating flow fins.
- FAN SECTION
Fan unit with statically and dynamically balanced axial fan,
directly coupled to electric motor, set on vibration-damping
supports.
- ELECTRIC BOX
It controls the activation/deactivation of the compressor in
accordance with indoor unit requirements.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: Before performing any maintenance interven-
tion protect yourself with the proper safety equipment.
IMPORTANT: check that the power supply is disconnected
before performing operations on the unit.
This section specifies the procedures to ensure correct installa-
tion of the appliance.
However correct final set-up is left to the experience of the
installer according to the specific requirements.
Caution: ensure that the power supply is disconnected befo-
re carrying out any operations.
To protect fan coils against short circuits, always fit the power
cable to the units with 250V (IG) thermo-magnetic all-pole
switches with a minimum contact gap of 3 mm (TAV 21).
For all connections refer to the wiring diagrams supplied with
the appliance and specified in this documentation.
When the outdoor unit is place at a highter level than the
indoor unit, provide a trap near the hose’s lead in port.
CS / CS H
Outdoor units must be installed horizontally outdoors in
accordance with the minimum working dimensions to ensure
the passage of air and the execution of any necessary mainte-
nance work.
The unit is constructed in weather-resistant materials and con-
sequently requires no special protection. Make sure however
that the heat exchange coil is not exposed to the risk of hail
storms.
For heat pump models, the condensate that is produced
during operation in heating mode can be conveyed to a drai-
nage outlet by using the coupling supplied, to be installed on
the base of the unit (fig. 7).
- CYCLE REVERSE VALVE
This valve is only fitted on heat pump models.
It inverts the refrigerant flow in accordance with summer/win-
ter operation variations.
- COMPRESSOR
Soundproofed high-efficiency rotary hermetic compressor,
actuated by electric motor with thermal-amp protection,
mounted on vibration-damping supports.
- PROTECTION GRILLE
Protection grille (UNI EN 294).
- HOUSING
The housing of the unit is made from polyurethane hot-pain-
ted galvanised sheet metal and plastic, making it extremely
sturdy and virtually rustproof.
– REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT
Refrigerant circuit made from copper tube welded with silver
alloy, with capillary expansion device.
PACKING
The units are shipped in standard cardboard boxes with pro-
tective shells.
On request, the standard packing can be supplemented with
a wooden crate or case.
REMARKS
Store the manuals in a dry location to avoid deterioration, as
they must be kept for at least 10 years for any future reference.
All the information in this manual must be carefully read
and understood. Pay particular attention to the operating
standards with “DANGER” or “WARNING” signals as their
disrespect can cause damage to the machine and/or per-
sons or objects.
WARNING: check that the power supply is disconnected
before performing operations on the unit.
WARNING: wiring connections installation of the fancoil and
relevant accessories should be performed by a technician who
has the necessary technical and professional expertise to install,
modify, extend and maintain plants and who is able to check the
plants for the purposes of safety and correct operation (In this
manual authorised personnel are referred to with the generic
term "personnel with the necessary technical skills").
In the specific case of electrical connections, the following
must be checked:
- Measurement of the isolation resistance on the electrical
system.
- Testing of the continuity of protection conductors.
If any malfunctions are not included in this manual, contact
the local Aftersales Service immediately.
AERMEC S.p.A. declines all responsibility for any damage
whatsoever caused by improper use of the machine, and a
partial or superficial acquaintance with the information contai-
ned in this manual.
The equipment should be installed so that maintenance
and/or repair services be possible.
The equipment warranty does not cover costs due to lifting
apparatus and platforms or other lifting systems required by
the warranty interventions.
This manual has 48 pages.
CAUTION
This room air conditioner uses new refrigerant R-410A
1. Keep any open ends of pipes be sealed with a cap, etc.
until connected with the equipment.
2. Exsercise great care when performing piping installation so as
water, dust, etc. will not enter into the piping and equipment.
3. Pipes connected to the indoor and outdoorunits must be
used new. (Required thickness of pipes is 0,8 mm or more,
due to pressure 1,6 time higher than previous refrigerant R22).
4. Use only R-410A refrigerant when charging additional refri
gerant to the equipment. Never add lubricating oil to the
equipment in any case.
5. In order to prevent any other refrigerant from being char-
ged accidentally, the service port diameter of the 3 way valve
has been changed (1/2” unify screw).
