Getting Started Powering Down
3.2 Powering Down
All vehicle communication must be terminated before shutting down the VERDICT unit. Failure to
do so may lead to ECM problems on some vehicles. Exit the Scanner module before powering
down the VERDICT unit.

To power down the VERDICT unit:
1. Navigate to the VERDICT Home screen.
2. Select the
Exit
button.
3. From the Windows desktop, open the Windows
Start
menu.
4. Select
Turn Off Computer
.
5. Select
Turn Off
in the dialog box.
The open programs close and the power switches off.
3.2.1 Emergency Shutdown
In case of emergency, press and hold the Power button to force a shutdown.
