3.5 memtester
memtester is an effective userspace tester for stress-testing the memory subsystem. It
is very effective at finding intermittent and non-deterministic faults. Note that
problems in other hardware areas (overheating CPU, out-of-specification power
supply, etc.) can cause intermittent memory faults, so it is still up to you to determine
where the fault lies through normal hardware diagnostic procedures;
memtester just
helps you determine whether a problem exists.

The Linux Test Project (LTP) is an effort to create a set of tools and tests to verify the
functionality and stability of the Linux kernel.
To get help information on using ltp run:
# /bin/bash /opt/ltp/runltp -h
3.7 iperf
iPerf is a tool for active measurements of the maximum achievable bandwidth on IP
networks. It supports tuning of various parameters related to timing, buffers and
protocols (TCP, UDP, SCTP with IPv4 and IPv6). For each test it reports the
bandwidth, loss, and other parameters.
