Takeoff
The BIBETA 5 needs only modest effort to
pull up. Lead the glider up with the two inner,
wide A-risers by pronounced forward leaning,
but without too strong a tug on the risers,
until the canopy is nicely above you. During
the pull up any directional corrections should
be made by walking decisively under the
wing, without steering with the brakes. After
the correction phase and a satisfactory look
at the wing a few steps with pronounced
leaning forward will achieve a takeoff, even
in little wind.
Tips
• Because of the excellent BIBETA 5 takeoff
behaviour you should remember to only
give the wing a modest pull up impulse,
even in little wind
• Before taking off make sure that the trim-
mers are closed.
