Configuration Pane
The upper right area of the OPTI-APPS window is the Configuration Pane (Config Pane). This
is where GNEs and NEs are configured. Once an element is selected in the Nav Pane, the
Config Pane displays options to enter, review, or edit information about that element.
NOTE
Until an element is selected, the Config Pane displays the start-up
graphic.
An NE in the Nav Pane should be under the subtending GNE. If the NE is below the wrong
GNE, it must be moved before it is configured.
A GNE only needs to be configured once, regardless of how many NEs it subtends.
Figure 7 illustrates the Config Panes for a Gateway NE (left) and a Remote NE (right).

Options in the Config Pane may vary, based upon the selection of a GNE or an NE in the Nav
Pane. The options can also vary based on other selected options.
Table 3 on page 11 describes the configuration options and fields in the GNE Config Pane.
Table 4 on page 12 describes the configuration options and fields in the NE Config Pane.
