Installation of the Power Supply
WARNING
!
•
Before
making
any
power
connections
to
this
equipment,
verify
the
power
is
off
(fuse
removed/breaker
tripped).
•
This
equipment
should
only
be
operated
from
the
type
of
certified/listed
power
supply
supplied
by
the
manufacturer
with
the
equipment
To
install
the
uninterruptible
power
supply
(UPS)
complete
the
following
steps:
1. Select
a
location
for
the
UPS.
When
making
this
determination,
consider
the
following:
• This
unit
is
not
appropriate
for
outdoor
placement.
• Place
the
UPS
in
a
safe
area,
free
of
excessive
dust,
and
with
adequate
airflow.
• Refer
to
UPS
technical
specifications
table
for
details
on
temperature
and
humidity
requirements.
Do
not
operate
outside
these
specified
limits.
2. Use
the
template
enclosed
with
the
unit
to
mark
the
installation
location.
3. Remove
the
battery
cover
from
the
UPS
unit
and
remove
the
strap
from
the
battery
holding
it
to
the
shelf
of
the
unit.
4. Disconnect
the
battery
cable
at
the
battery
terminals
if
already
connected
to
the
battery.
5. Remove
the
battery.
6. Mount
the
UPS
using
screws
appropriate
for
the
total
weight
of
the
UPS
and
the
mounting
surface
material.
7. Connect
the
UPS
cable
wires
(see
8. Replace
the
battery
and
secure
the
battery
with
the
strap.
