that the termination link LK1 is set correctly. In a chain of RapidDome Domes, the link
MUST be fitted across pins 2 and 3 (termination OFF), for all domes in the chain except
the final one.
The link MUST be fitted across pins 1 and 2 of the last RapidDome Dome, (termination
ON). Below shows a system using two RapidDome Domes in this way.
Star Connections
DO NOT connect several twisted pair RS485 telemetry receivers in a Star Connection to
one twisted pair output using long cables - use the ‘daisy chain’ method detailed above
instead. If separate cables are brought back from the RapidDome Domes to the
transmitter then the ADCD16TP MUST be used to provide individual RS485 output to
the cameras.
ADCD16TP must also be used in systems that have more than 32 RapidDome Domes.
