Select Host menu dot colours
Within the Select Host menu, each listed host has a coloured dot associated with
it to indicate its general status:
•
Green shows that the host system is accessible.
•
Red shows that the host system is not currently accessible.
•
Blue indicates a Console CAM connection which uses only a serial port, thus
no video connection is possible.
•
Orange signifies that this entry is a cascaded AdderView CATxIP 5000 unit
that can provide access to other host systems. When you select such an
entry, you will then be shown the main menu of the cascaded unit, allowing
access to the configuration menus of that unit.
Note: On older AdderView CATxIP 5000 units, with firmware less than 1.14,
the orange marker represented an error relating to cascaded hosts. This
function has now been superseded by the orange dot function explained
above.
Green - accessible
Red - inaccessible
Blue - a Console CAM is
connected to the port. No
video connection is possible.
Orange - represents a
cascaded AdderView CATxIP
5000. Selecting this entry
will provide access to the
configuration menus of that
unit.
