Traction Control System

TCS On/Off Switch

This switch is on the dashboard

behind the right control pod. It lets
you turn the Traction Control System
on and off. You cannot turn off the

TCS while the TCS indicator light is
flashing.

Deactivate the system by pressing
the TCS On/Off switch. The light in

the switch goes out, and the TCS
indicator light comes on. Pressing

the switch again turns the system
back on.

The Traction Control System turns

on every time you start the engine,
even if you turned it off the last time

you drove the car.

TCS Indicator

If the TCS develops a problem, the

TCS indicator comes on and remains

on. The TCS is automatically disa-
bled.

If you see this, pull to the side of the
road at your first opportunity and
turn off the engine. Reset the system
by restarting the engine, and see if
the TCS indicator goes out. If it
remains on, or comes back on again

while driving, have the TCS in-

spected by your Acura dealer. You
can still drive the car without TCS.

The TCS indicator light also comes

on when you deactivate the TCS by
pressing the TCS On/OFF switch.

While driving, the TCS indicator may

occasionally come on for a few
seconds and then go out. This is
normal.
